Notes

This pattern is a stitch multiple of 3 stitches. Add 1 for base chain.
One V stitch is : 1 double crochet, 1 chain and 1 double crochet into same chain or space.
The V stitch is often abbreviated: (dc, ch 1, dc) in designated ch-space.
One V-stitch makes 1 ch-1-space

Written instructions

Chain a multiple of 3 + 1 stitches.

Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, *sk 2, dc 1 in next st, ch 1, dc 1 in same as last dc*, repeat from *to* until end of row, turn.

Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc + ch 1), dc in first ch-space, *dc 1 in next ch-space, ch 1, dc 1 in same ch-space*, repeat from *to* until end of row, turn.

Repeat row 2 until project is desired size.
