Ans:Any grievances can be sent to Hon’ble Prime Minister / PMO using the interactive page link “Write to the Prime Minister” available on the PMO’s website : https://www.pmindia.gov.in/ -> Interact with Hon’ble Prime Minister(from drop down menu) ->Write to the Prime Minister. This link is also available on the home page of the PMO’s website [https://www.pmindia.gov.in/]On clicking the said link, the citizen is guided to CPGRAMS page where the grievance is registered and after due registration, a unique registration number is generated. The citizen also has an option of uploading relevant documents related to the grievance.
Citizens can also send their grievance to the Hon’ble Prime Minister / PMO through other means viz.(i) by post – to Prime Minister Office, South Block, New Delhi, Pin – 110011,
(ii) by hand – at PMO Dak Counter at South Block, New Delhi; and
(iii) by Fax – at FAX No. 011-23016857.Q.2:How can I share my ideas with the Hon’ble Prime Minister?

Please inform me what action has been taken on my grievance petition submitted to the Prime Minister / PMO on dd/mm/yyyy. The petition had been forwarded by PMO to the Department of …………. vide ID No.PMOPG/D/yyyy/123456789 dated dd/mm/yyyy.

I had submitted a petition to the PMO and my petition had been sent by the PMO to the State Government of …………… vide letter No.PMOPG/D/yyyy/123456789 dated dd/mm/yyyy. Please inform me its status.

I had submitted an online grievance petition to the Hon’ble Prime Minister on dd/mm/yyyy vide registration no. PMOPG/E/yyyy/123456789 and the same has been sent electronically by the PMO to the Ministry of ………….. I wish to know whether the issue raised in my petition has been resolved.

Ans:The Prime Minister’s Office receives a large number of public grievances relating to subject matters which fall under the purview of various Ministries/ Departments or the State/ UT Governments. The grievances are processed in Public Wing of PMO as per guidelines [ PMO, Pmindia (1) 48KB ] for processing of letters in Public Wing of PMO by a dedicated Team which, while processing the same, consults senior officials/authorities, including PM, depending upon the nature and contents of the communication. As such, actionable petitions are forwarded to the concerned authorities (Ministries/ Departments/ State Governments) for action as appropriate through PMO Public Grievance Redress And Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) with the request that Reply is sent to the Petitioner and a copy of the same may be uploaded on the portal. Petitions that are found to be non-actionable as per the said guidelines are filed/ kept on record. Petitions received in physical mode (by post/ by hand/ by FAX) which are found to be actionable are forwarded to the concerned authorities online through CPGRAMS. A unique grievance registration number is generated which is mentioned on the forwarding letter/ acknowledgement. Acknowledgement is sent to the petitioner by post. Further, petitioners who provide their e-mail ID/ mobile number receive acknowledgement by sms/ e-mail also.

Petitions received through online mode which are found to be actionable are forwarded to the concerned authorities online. No forwarding letter or acknowledgement is generated in this process. However, petitioners who provide their e-mail ID/ mobile number receive acknowledgement by sms/ e-mail.

Status of grievances may be checked by the citizen on http://pgportal.gov.in/Status by using the registration number of his petition. Gist of the action taken by the authorities and a copy of reply to the applicant is also uploaded on the portal.

Further, Telephonic enquiries relating to the grievances may be made on Public Wing’s facilitation number 011-23386447 on working days during office hours.

Redressal of grievance in such cases is within the purview of the appropriate authority to which the grievance is forwarded. Therefore the petitioner may seek the details of follow-up action on the petition from the concerned authority in the Ministry/ Department/ State Government to which the grievance has been forwarded. PG portal (public interface – http://pgportal.gov.in/Status also has a provision of display of the details (designation/ phone number etc) of the concerned authority to which the grievance has been forwarded through CPGRAMS to enable the petitioner to pursue the matter.

Q.4:Please furnish copies of the notes of the file from which my grievance petition dated dd/mm/yyyy has been forwarded by the PMO to the State Government of ….. Vide letter No. PMOPG/D/yyyy/123456789 dated dd/mm/yyyy.

Ans:Processing of letters received from Public in Public Wing of the PMO is fully computerized and the software does not have any provision for file noting as well as daily progress report concerning this office.Q.5:I had submitted an online petition to the Prime Minister. However, for lodging the grievances online, kindly refer to Question No. 1 of FAQ.Q.7:Are there any guidelines/time frame for disposal of grievances filed in PMO ?Ans:All actionable petitions are forwarded to the concerned authorities (Ministries/ Departments/ State Governments) for action as appropriate through CPGRAMS. Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the administrative department for CPGRAMS has prescribed guidelines with respect to disposal of Public grievances. The same are available in public domain and can be viewed on the website of Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances.Q.8:Is there any system/mechanism for monitoring of disposal of petitions filed in PMO ?Ans:All actionable petitions are forwarded to the concerned authorities (Ministries/ Departments/ State Governments) for action as appropriate. Redressal of grievance is under their purview. The same is reviewed by the concerned authorities. Further, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances periodically reviews the disposal of petitions lodged in CPGRAMS with the concerned organizations.Q.9:Whether communications received in PMO from general public are responded by the Prime Minister ?Ans:Communications received in this office are responded at various levels, including PM, depending upon the nature and contents of the communication.
