What's New with the Hyundai Exter?
Hyundai is constantly striving to keep the Exter fresh and competitive. Last year, they introduced a dual CNG cylinder technology, mirroring Tata's iCNG. Now, the brand is planning to pack even more features into this sub-compact SUV to take on the Tata Punch.
So, what can we expect with this upgrade? Prepare for a significant leap in features and technology. Rumor has it, the Exter might boast a new 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen powered by the latest Android Auto OS, along with a 9.9-inch digital instrument cluster. On top of that, a revamped cabin design is also on the cards.

Other potential upgrades include ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, reclining rear seats, and a powered driver seat, among others.
Under the hood, the Exter is expected to retain its reliable 1.2-litre NA petrol engine (producing 81bhp and 113Nm), paired with both manual and AMT gearbox options. A CNG engine option, coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox, will likely remain available as well.
Pricing and Launch
When can we expect to see this updated model? The launch is anticipated by early 2027. As for pricing, expect a price hike ranging from approximately Rs 30,000 to Rs 70,000, depending on the variant. More details will be revealed as the launch date approaches.
